Cuddon Cycling Marlborough is the operating name of Cycling Marlborough Incorporated, a community cycling club based in Blenheim, New Zealand. This page explains what personal information the club collects and how it is used, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
When you join the club or update your details, we collect:
Race results, trophy wins, and club records are part of the club's sporting record and appear on this website — that's first names and surnames, grades, times and placings, as cycling clubs have published since 1931.
Your information is stored securely in the club's membership database. Personal details are visible only to the club's committee administrators. They are never sold, and never passed to anyone else except where the law requires it. Website visitors cannot access membership information.
This site uses privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics (Umami, hosted in the EU) to count page visits in aggregate — which pages get read, and roughly where visitors come from — so we can make the site more useful. It sets no cookies, collects no names or contact details, and cannot identify you.
The "share the site" button uses your own phone or email program to send — the website never sends anything and never sees who you shared with. If you're signed in when you share, we record that you used the button (so we can thank the club's best ambassadors); nothing about the recipient is ever collected.
You can see or correct your information at any time — use the update form or email secretary@cyclingmarlborough.org.nz. You can also ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to remove you from communications, the same way.
Contact the club secretary at secretary@cyclingmarlborough.org.nz. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
