Who we are

Cuddon Cycling Marlborough is the operating name of Cycling Marlborough Incorporated, a community cycling club based in Blenheim, New Zealand. This page explains what personal information the club collects and how it is used, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect, and why

When you join the club or update your details, we collect:

• Contact and identity details — name, date of birth, address, email, phone — to run your membership: confirming payment, sending club news you've opted into, and contacting you about club matters.
• Emergency contact and medical information (riders only) — so our race-day officials know who to call and what matters medically if you're hurt. Medical details are used only for event safety.
• Guardian details for junior members — so we communicate with a parent or guardian, not directly with a child.

Race results, trophy wins, and club records are part of the club's sporting record and appear on this website — that's first names and surnames, grades, times and placings, as cycling clubs have published since 1931.

Where it lives and who sees it

Your information is stored securely in the club's membership database. Personal details are visible only to the club's committee administrators. They are never sold, and never passed to anyone else except where the law requires it. Website visitors cannot access membership information.

Your rights

You can see or correct your information at any time — use the update form or email secretary@cyclingmarlborough.org.nz. You can also ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to remove you from communications, the same way.
