This Saturday (20th July) the Open grade will compete in a 41km handicap event (Funnell Trophy) and a Junior under 17 22km massed start/sealed hcp event (James Bros. Cup). The course is an out and return from Fairhall
Hall Takes Vincent Shield on Opening Day
The open grade rode over 5 laps (36km) of the Lower Wairau course for the opening day Vincent Shield handicap event. Front markers Warren Hall and Katie Batt (off 15m) teamed well together and with a well paced ride kept away from the chasing groups.
Craig Harper SOLO Race Across America – Support Event this Saturday
Club racing this Saturday (8th June) is a special fund raising event to support our clubmate Craig as he starts his epic 3000 mile journey across America next week.
The event will be a 36km group handicap event 4 times around the Benmorven circuit. A shorter 2 lap event will be available for the younger riders or those that haven’t competed for a while. Assemble at 1pm for a 1.30pm start at the Fairhall Hall. All riders and supporters are most welcome. Race fees Open $10 Junior $5 (All entry fees or contributions will go to supporting Craig).

Gifford Wins Sprint Finish
Andrew Gifford took the finishing sprint win from Logan Robb and Mike Murphy on a cold and wet day on the Tuamarina course. Adam Bidwell outsprinted scratch co-marker Gerard van Antwerpen for fastest time honours.

Club racing Saturday (18th May). Open grade 40km handicap event and a Junior under 17 16km hcp event on the lower Wairau/Grovetown circuit.
The open grade race should provide some close competition after the last massed start event a couple of weeks
Harper and Rooney take Honours

Andrew Hill Takes Championship Honours
The Marlborough 80km Open Championship was raced for at Fairhall on the Benmorven/Ridge/Godfreys Rd circuit in good fine conditions.
New rider Andrew Hill was moved back to scratch after his Pelorus Cup win from the break mark
