Cuddon Cycling Marlborough’s riders will compete in the Henderson Bros. Cups and Dooley Cup time trial events from Renwick tomorrow afternoon. The open grade 51km Henderson Bros. Cups event will be held on a course from the Salmon farm at the start of the Northbank Road to just beyond Pine Valley and return. Fastest time honours are likely to go to favorite Ray Dunstan who will be out to better the course record of 1hr 11m 25s set by Josh Scott last year. The minor placings should be fought out between Gerard van Antwerpen and Jeremy McKenzie. The sealed handicap cup will also be closely contested with each rider trying to better their expected times. The junior under 17 grade riders will compete in the Dooley Cup 16km time trial also on the Northbank Road. Favourites for the cup are expected to be Ethan Batt or Thomas Westend, with alot of competition for the minor placings between Christopher Grammer and Callum Caughey. All riders are to assemble at Forrest Estate Winery, State Highway 1, Renwick at 1pm for a 1.30pm start.
