Blakiston Shows Form

Junior under 19 rider Nick Blakiston was in good form to win two events on his first night of racing this season at Athletic Park on Monday evening.
The open grade events started off with Blakiston taking out the 500m and 1000m scratch events from Gerard van Antwerpen and Graham Henderson respectively. Van Antwerpen was also consistent to win the 8000m scratch from Blakiston, and was second to Ray Dunstan in the 1600m handicap event.
The junior under 17 grade ‘A’ grade events were dominated by Dylan Vile and Ethan batt who took three first and second places respectively. The same result happened in the junior under 17 ‘B’ grade with Veli van Rensburg winning over Shaun Woods in each event.
