Close Competition For Henderson Time Trial Cups

Cuddon Cycling Marlborough’s riders will compete in the Henderson Bros. Cups and Dooley Cup time trial events from Renwick tomorrow afternoon.
The open grade 51.5km Henderson Bros. Cups event was successfully trialled last year on a new course from the Salmon farm at the start of the Northbank Road to just beyond Pine Valley and return. Interest will be focussed on the clash between youngsters Peter Crampton and Brody Catterick, along with older riders Josh Scott and Jeremy McKenzie. The sealed handicap cup will also be closely contested with each rider trying to better their expected times.
The junior under 17 grade riders will compete in the Dooley Cup 16km time trial also on the Northbank Road. Favourite for the cup is expected to be Georgia Catterick, with alot of competition amongst the newer riders for the minor placings.
All riders are to assemble at Forrest Estate Winery, State Highway 1, Renwick at 1pm for a 1.30pm start.
