Christopher Grammer sprinted away for the win in Cuddon Cycling Marlborough’s junior under 17 grade race at Lower Wairau last Saturday afternoon.
The 14km handicap event covered two laps of the Dillons Point Road, Swamp Road, Rowberrys Road circuit. Grammer (off 1m 15s) and co-marker Ethan Brydon teamed up well to work their way through to the front of the field in the latter stages. Meanwhile, tomorrow the junior grade will compete in a 16km handicap event on an out and return course on the Taylor Pass Road. All riders are to assemble at just beyond the roundabout at 1pm for a 1.30pm start.
