Strong Scratch Group For Pelorus Cup

Cuddon Cycling Marlborough are expecting good fields to compete in the Pelorus Cup events from Renwick tomorrow afternoon.
The open grade 60km handicap event will start at Forrest Estate Winery and cover an undulating course out to Havelock, into the Queen Charlotte Drive to the top of the Mahakipawa hill and return. Close competition for fastest time honours will be fought out between the strong scratch bunch of Gerard van Antwerpen, Josh Scott, Jeremy McKenzie, Tony Catterick, Conway Taylor, Ray Dunstan, Andrew Jamieson and Brodie Catterick.
The junior under 17 grade will compete in a 24km handicap event covering 3 laps of the Renwick/ Vintage lane circuit. Callum Saunders, Nick Blakiston and Quinn Karwowski should battle for time honours from the scratch mark.
All riders are to assemble at Forrest Estate Winery at 1pm for a 1.30pm start.
