The final of Cuddon Cycling Marlborough’s Cycle World graded race series was ridden at Fairhall last Wednesday evening.
The event started at Wither Hills Winery with each of the three grades covered three laps of the Benmorven circuit and then finishing at the Ridge Resort. The small ‘A’ grade field rode solidly with Conway Taylor to strong on the hilly finish to take victory by 13 seconds over Gerard van Antwerpen with another 3 seconds back to Jamie Kidd. The ‘B’ grade saw several attempts to split the field throughout the journey. Strong riding by Antony Clark paid off when he took line honours in a close finish from youngsters Will Hart and Brodie Catterick. The ‘C grade saw Warren Hall with a 20 second advantage over Joe Blakiston at the line with Rhonda Murphy taking third place.
