Junior U17 Riders Dominate Track

Junior under 17 riders have been in top form at Cuddon Cycling Marlborough’s recent track meetings at Athletic Park.
Last monday evening cycling was rained out after two events. Callum Saunders was a convincing winner of the open 8000m event to head off Gerard van Antwerpen and Ray Dunstan. He was also second to fellow under 17 rider Quinn Karwowski in the open 1000m event in a reasonably quick time of 1m 14s. Third in the 1000m event was Conal Sloan who still shows good speed after a couple of years break.
The previous track evening saw Saunders dominate by winning the 400m Derby final, the 8000m event and second in the 1000m event. Karwowski also showed good form in winning the 1000m event and the Miss and Out event.
