In continuation of the Summer Nite series of races held over the last few months, Cuddon Cycling Marlborough, with support from Cycle World, is organising a series of time trials to assist riders to prepare for the club Nationals to be held in the third week of April in Alexandra. The races are using the familiar 16km course on New Renwick Road. As well as an excellent opportunity for the more experienced riders to sharpen their skills it also allows beginners a good starting point in racing timetrials.
The Bikefit Summer Night Series races held by Cuddon Cycling Marlborough concluded with a 16km 2-up time-trial over the familiar New Renwick Road course. Hot summer weather conditions saw 15 couples compete in the popular event, a tailwind helped on the way out, but the 2nd half with the headwind proved harder, and this is where the difference could be made.
Mitchell McKenzie-Mol carried his good form from last week through into this week’s race, with a convincing win in the A-grade cycling race around the Ben-Morven circuit, with a finish up on Marlborough Ridge.
It was the 10th and final race in the Bikefit Summer Night Series held by Cuddon Cycling Marlborough on Tuesday evening, with next week a closing-off 2up time trial which doesn’t count for the overall results.
Mitchell McKenzie-Mol proved a quick learner winning the 9th race of the Bikefit Summer Night Series on the Lower Wairau circuit, held Tuesday evening by Cuddon Cycling Marlborough. A total of 25 riders registered for the 4 different graded races on the 7km long circuit, in beautiful, relatively calm, summer weather conditions.
The Bikefit Summer Night Series races held by Cuddon Cycling Marlborough continued on Tuesday evening after a 3 week break for Christmas and New Year. 18 riders turned up for the 4th 16km time-trial in the series on the New Renwick Rd. course.
